When:	Fly into Reno on Thursday, February 22nd, in the afternoon/evening. We have the house until Tuesday February 27th.

Where:	South Lake Tahoe, close to Heavenly Valley and the casinos of South Shore, which means that we have to get our tired butts off the couch and go play at least once or twice this year.

Skiapalooza Future Planning

As always, the future of Skiapooloza rests solely on the shoulders of some men who are getting more senile and creaky (that’s creaky, not cranky) by the year. We have lofty aspirations, and will always be able to ski the way we did when we were 25, to be on that first chair of the day, and on the last chair of the day.

However, our exotic breakfasts tend to make us late, our bodies try harder every year to overcome our minds, and the lure of a cold beer, a nice barstool, and a bottle of Advil form the perfect trifecta to lure us in earlier each year. And we’re sure it’s because the beer gets colder, the barstools get more comfortable, and the Advil gets better every year….

Jackson Hole,
Whistler, Blackcomb,
Sun Valley
‘Hidden Valley Ski Area’ in Eureka MO (Jamie, I hate to break it to you, but there is a very low probability that this one will happen…)

Sand Dune chili. ).
I’ll never ski THAT chute! (and Chip and I ended up in it by accident)

2nd Annual Skiapalooza - Nice X-Rays!

Where:	Fri - Winter Park / Mary Jane; Sat - Keystone / Arapahoe Basin (if it’s sunny and warm!); Sun - Copper Mountain; Mon - Breackenridge Ski Resort
PreFlight:	Wildernest: I have TWO condos. One condo is owned by a friend of mine, who’s letting me have it for the weekend for $100. It’s near where we were last year, Treehouse condos. The problem is… their Rec Ctr burned to the ground and there is NO hot tub or swim pool! Sooooooo, I got another condo up the road 1/2 mile that has 3 beds AND a HOT TUB (or two!) This condo is $100 / night. Therefore, I plan to eat, drink and be merry at the upper condo, then two of us can meander back to the other condo for sleeping in our own beds! Everyone will have a bed, if we have 5 people, as currently planned.We’ll meet at my place Thursday night and take off in the morning. I’ll have Drew Bear Thu evening, so you may have to learn a little about Pokemon and/or Crash Bandicoot while he’s there!Food…Fri - homemade chili, corn bread, beer (restaurants are VERY full Friday nite) Sat - Damn Brewery (sandwiches, beer) Sun - The Mint (steak and potatoes, beer) Mon - Furlong’s house, New York Pizzeria, the airport, whatever!Lunch is on the slopes.Breakfast will be…Fri - Furlong’s Flophouse muffins and COFFEE Sat - Eggs, bacon, Ibuprophen flavored COFFEE Sun - Pancakes, syrup, Aleve flavored COFFEE Mon - Smorgasborg and Tylenol/Codine flavored COFFEE (If you want any other flavors, let me know! I have a pharmacist friend…) I have discount tickets to Copper Mtn. The others we’ll purchase from the local grocery stores before we go up there. There is NO pressure on the weenies of the group that do NOT want to ski all four days. No pressure at all! But the day(s) you don’t ski, you better… * have cold beer in the fridge for when we get back from the slopes, * have the hot tub full of woman for us to converse with, * have a fire going in the fireplace, and * have the horses dervies ready when we arrive!
