Preflight: Frisco Iowa State House – Fifth Annual:I have a condo that will hold 5 guys… a king, a queen and three twin beds. The owner of the condo lives in none other than Broomfish, CO. It’s part of the MountainSide Condos in Frisco, you remember, where Steve locked his keys in the car!!!The price of the condo is $860 (might be less, depending on when the *new* tax rate goes into effect).Things to think about…

  1. You are fatter and older than last year. Get in shape! Those back bowls of Vail are awfully big!
  2. Where do you want to ski besides Vail? If you are planning on skiing Vail, Breckenridge, Keystone (night) and Copper, see point #1
  3. What days are you planning on skiing?
    – if you arrive THUR, we can ski Friday then check into the condo Friday evening. We can then ski Sat, Sun and Mon. See point #1 though!
    – if you arrive FRI, then we’ll just drive up to the condo leisurely, only skiing Sat, Sun and Mon. You should still consider reading point #1
  4. Ski Lift tickets cost more this year. I’ll look for Denver discounts and Virgin Island discounts. To get your money’s worth, you have to ski MORE runs. See point #1.
  5. We’ll plan on breakfasts in the condo and lunches on the mountain, though I’ll bring sandwich makings, since I know how Jamie likes to gobble down lunch while riding the ski lift. For dinners, maybe we’ll have…* Fri – Nick & Willy’s Pizza
    * Sat – Steak & potatoes on [the] Barbi (or Amanda, Amy, Betty Lou, etc.)
    * Sun – A replacement restaurant for ‘The Mint & Bo’
    -> Wilderness Brewery
    -> Damn Brewery
    -> (see a theme going here?)
    -> Dairy Queen
    -> Pot of chili at the condo (I’ll have this ready for an ’emergency meal, as you never know when someone might get hurt or have to run back to Ohio to their sweetheart?!)
    * Mon – Woody’s Pizza or K. T.’s Bar B Que (think they’ll be open Steve?)
  6. Jamie – do NOT bring your Speedo (wouldn’t THAT clear out the Hot Tub?!!!)
  7. Steve – Bring an extra set of keys (for no particular reason 😉
  8. Hugh – do NOT ski over exposed roots.
  9. Chip – do NOT ski on both sides of small trees!
  10. Anything else?
