    • He was a farmer by occupation. During the year 1826 he entered into the business of manufacturing paper with his brothers, Reuben and Eben. They built the mill and were in partnership some ten years, when he retired from the business of papermaking , and was succeeded by his sons, Daniel and Plumb N. He died at age 76.
