He owned two tracts of land on Mc Alpine and Goose Creeks near Matthews and Pinevill, NC. and near Ft Mill, bought from Robert McComb in Dec 1802. It is believed he came there from Virginia. He went to Laclede County, Missouri with son Robert and bought land there 6/1/1845.
