    • Obit of George Gilchrist: the subject of this sketch was born in Bloomfield, Oakland County, Michigan, 10 Jan 1844, bieng the 4th child of Thomas and Nancy Gilchrist. Was married to Miss Mary Jack of Orchard Lake, 22 Oct 1873. Located after marriage in Commerce twp., last of the Village in the Union school district. After residing there about 25 years, sold the farm and moved to Birmingham, Michigan. In 1899 bought a farm west of Four Towns. Died of disease at the latter place, 17 May 1901. Burial at Pontiac, Michigan, 20 May 1907. (sent to me by Elaine Johnston)
